We were asked to replace the floor area of this new venue in Nottingham with a new engineered oak floor that was in keeping with the design brief.

The flooring choice needed to fit within the Victorian design theme so we suggested using our Historic House floorboards, which when laid, give the appearance of a floor that has been in situ for many years.

Mixed width floorboards were selected with rustic qualities such as knots, splits and plenty of grain variety to create a floor with the character and vintage qualities of an English Oak floor. To achieve the ageing effect, the boards were cobbled at the edges and distressed in-house to create an appearance typically experienced over time.
