The Wheatley Arms in Ben Rhydding has re-opened its doors following an impressive three-month-long refurbishment, with JackEvie supplying the bespoke wood flooring that anchors the venue’s refreshed design. Built in 1863, this beloved stone pub has long been a hub for locals and visitors, welcoming drinkers, diners, and travellers with its reputation for great food and warm hospitality.

In the private dining areas, JackEvie’s handscraped plank flooring takes centre stage. Crafted from medium-toned engineered oak, the planks measure 150mm wide with an overall thickness of 15mm and a durable 4mm wear layer. The clean, linear design enhances the sense of space, visually elongating the rooms, while the UV oil finish highlights the wood’s subtle grain and organic texture. The result is a timeless look that pairs beautifully with the pub’s earthy colour palette of taupe, beige, and olive.

Adding to the ambiance, warm lighting from globe pendants casts a golden glow that enhances the natural wood tones. The pub’s modern rustic aesthetic is completed with carefully chosen furnishings: wooden tables and dining chairs upholstered in neutral fabrics that provide a balance of comfort and style.

As part of the refurbishment, JackEvie also supplied a bespoke herringbone floor for the bar and dining areas, offering a sophisticated contrast to the plank wood flooring.
